27 Jun Zbrush Workshop
To start off my third year we got a Zbrush Workshop from Maarten Verhoeven. I began with gathering a lot of concept art and inspiration. We we’re free to sculpt anything we wanted, but I already knew I wanted to do a character and not a creature because we already did that the year before and because the next workshop would be Rigging a character.
I later re-shaded the model and rendered a turntable in keyshot for a better representation of the model
After settling on the sources of inspiration I made my moodboards.
After that I started sculpting.
I started modeling on a low poly model of a character my teacher brought with him. From there he taught us about the muscles in the human body and helped us with all problems we faced in zbrush.
After modeling I textured the character in zbrush using polypaint.
With the time I had left I decided to try some different clothing styles
From the modeling workshop we went straight into the rigging one, so with the time I had left in the Zbrush Workshop I decided to play with Marvelous Designer some more and create some clothes for my character. I started with a tough samurai look, but it kept looking like boxing clothes so I tried something completely different and went for the clothes the Orc was wearing in one of the moodboards. Which I thought looked pretty cool.
